Session 2: Research Committee Membership and Examination

Postgraduate supervisors are expected to take on other roles in the institution related to research and postgraduate education.

This session considers two such roles:

  1. Being a member of a higher degrees committee or research committee responsible for approving research proposals, and
  2. Being an examiner of theses, in writing and orally in a viva.
