Session 2: Organizational Models, Stakeholder Groups, Target Audiences

Welcome to the second session of the first module of the CPC meta summer school development course.

During this session we will focus on the different ways a summer school can be embedded within an institution. We will browse through different options ranging from an ad hoc approach to a fully integrated approach, hereby taking into account the specific characteristics of the organizing institution. Moreover, attention will be given to the different stakeholders that are, or can potentially, be involved with the organisation of a summer school, both inside and outside the institution. Lastly, we will focus on different target groups that could be addressed, as the characteristics of the target audience will also determine many other aspects of the organization of a summer school that will be tackled in subsequent sessions of the course.

Team members that are interested in learning more about these aspects are invited to read this series of blog posts on the organisation of summer schools that was developed in the framework of the IMPALA project:

Team members are encouraged to discuss this session and comment on if and how this information may change the initial direction and plans of their summer school course, on their team forum.

Feel free to use the question form if you would like to discuss this topic with the facilitators.
